Lukas PTA IMPACT: 2023-2024Our PTA membership and involvement have been growing over the last few years and as our school changes we hope to continue this growth. This year we will welcome Witt students and others impacted by Jeffco's school closures. And though we understand this change comes with some sadness and a sense of loss, we also cannot wait to welcome everyone into the fold and evolve into a new, robust community! Over the next year we hope to focus on building this community into something truly spectacular! Many of our events have focused on bringing people together, celebrating our histories and shared experiences. So join the PTA and help us make Lukas a welcoming place for everyone!

What is PTA?
|
The Lukas Elementary Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a group of parents, teachers and community members that work together to increase parental participation in our school. PTA's general objectives are to focus on what students need to be successful in their learning. This can include nutrition, health, school safety, physical fitness and general well-being. PTA utilizes fundraisers to raise money for these objectives. Participating in PTA is free, voting on funds, objectives and board members requires a yearly membership fee of $10.

WHat IS SAC?
The Lukas Elementary PTA works alongside the School Accountability Committee (SAC). SAC is a group of parents, teachers, community members and the principal who together discuss academic action plans, budget priorities and safety issues. SAC utilizes data from standardized school testing to gauge the effectiveness of academic plans. The Unified Improvement Plan (UIP) is created to target student academic needs and budget plans are created from funds based on enrollment numbers.
