We know it takes an entire community to support the growth and development of our children. Lukas Elementary has a new approach to bringing together families, school staff and the community for the success of our children. Skywalker Community Partnership (SCP) is a collaborative of people and programs intended to support Lukas students, staff and families in order to provide opportunities to learn, support, and share the power in developing our kids. SCP has four “rocket boosters” that lift us high and help us soar.
Lukas Helpers: Our school’s volunteer program values and welcomes all families’ time and talents. Helping can be as easy as providing dinner to support teachers during conferences, and can be more on-going, such as helping out in a classroom on a regular basis.
Parent Teacher Association (PTA):Lukas PTA provides parents, caregivers and teachers a forum to positively influence the children of Lukas’ learning environment through advocacy, networking and raising critical funds need to support the school.
School Accountability Committee: This team of parents, caregivers, staff and community members support and advise the development of the school’s budget and its Unified Improvement Plan, and works hard to ensure that Lukas is committed to support the JeffCo 2020 vision.
Communication: Lukas is committed to multiple-way channels of communication that connect the school, families, students and the community.
Join the SCP the first Tuesday of every month from 5:30pm-7:30pm, in the Lukas Library (with the exception of December). You can also get involved by signing up online on our Volunteer tab.
